It's easy to clone a unit to create a duplicate copy with the same content in Ideagen Academy. This feature streamlines the course creation process by allowing you to replicate and customise units efficiently.

1. To clone a unit, allowing it to be accessible from multiple courses, go to the course dashboard.
2. Select the Clone Unit option from the Add Content drop-down list.

Note: Any changes made to the cloned unit will also affect the original unit.

3. You will be prompted to choose the course and lesson containing the unit you want to clone using the drop-down lists.
4. All units in that course/lesson will be available in the Unit drop-down list for selection.

1.1 Retaining Original Content Relationship

1. 1. At the bottom of the pop-up, you can choose to 'Retain relationship with original content (link)' by checking the checkbox.
   2. Enabling this option maintains a link between the units, ensuring updates to the original unit are automatically applied to the cloned unit.
   3. If left unchecked, the cloned unit remains independent, allowing you to modify its title and content without affecting the original unit.
   4. You can also choose to include all subunits in the cloning action.
      • Click Clone to clone the unit.

      • Alternatively, click Clone and Clone Another to clone the unit and then select another unit to clone.

      • The cloned unit will then appear in the list of units on the course dashboard.
