Adding & Managing Tests

Seamlessly add tests to your courses by selecting the Add Test option from the Add Content drop-down list. Configure various parameters such as test name, description, and advanced settings to tailor the assessment to your specific requirements. Below is a more in depth description of configuring test questions:
1. Adding a New Test
To add a new test to your course, choose the Add Test option from the Add Content drop-down list.
2. Test Configuration
The table below explains the fields you need to fill in for adding a test:
Configuration Fields | Description |
---|---|
Name | Provide an appropriate name for the test, with a maximum of 255 characters. |
Description | Include a summary of the test to give learners an understanding of what they are being tested on. The toolbar provides formatting options, and allows you to insert tables, hyperlinks, pictures, and videos. |
Time Limit | Set an overall time limit for the test (in minutes), per question, or no time limit. |
Repetitions | Specify the number of allowed test repetitions. Leave blank to allow infinite attempts. |
Maintain History | Choose whether completed tests are stored in the learner's training history. Enter ‘0’ to disable, ‘1’ to maintain a history record of one completed test, '2' to maintain a history record of two completed tests, and so on. |
Mastery Score | Set the minimum passing score as a percentage. If this is set to ‘null’ the test will be passed regardless of final score. |
Test Password |
Optionally restrict access with a password. Note: This option is ignored if the ‘Splash screen’ is disabled |
Request Personal Job | Prompt learners to enter their job position during the test. |

Passed Test - The system provides options for the post-assessment action, including:
Note: Any feedback text entered in the Explanation field during question setup will always be displayed. Test Not Passed - In the event of a failure, similar options are available for the post-assessment action, with the displayed content determined by the feedback text entered in the Explanation field during question setup. |
3. Test Presentation and Navigation
The below table shows further options for personalising tests:

4. Saving and Proceeding
- Once all fields are completed, click Save and Select Questions.
- You will then be directed to the Questions tab, where you can view and manage existing questions for reuse or add new questions.
Important: Changes to original questions affect all tests using them.
