For free text and file upload questions in Ideagen Academy, manual grading is essential. To grade, access the completed tests, click on the pending questions, enter the score, and optionally provide feedback for learners. For more information this topic, see the below article.

1. Manually Grading Free Text

If your tests involve free text/file upload questions, manual grading is required.

Note: Ensure the option Do not take it into account in correction is not enabled when adding the question to the system.

1.1 Accessing Completed Tests

• To access completed tests, navigate to the course dashboard, click Add Content, and select Go to tests.
• In the Recently Completed tab, view all recently completed tests for the lesson. Tests displaying as Pending await manual grading.

1.2 Viewing Completed Test Details

• Click the view button   to see the learner's completed test.
• On the details page, observe all questions and answers. Passed questions are in green, failed in red, and those pending a score are in blue.

1.3 Grading Pending Questions

• Click the score percentage link for pending questions.

• A text box will appear to enter a new score. Insert the score and click OK.
• Optionally, click Add Feedback, enter feedback, and click OK.
