Signing in with Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)
Who is this article for?
Users who want to learn signing in to Ideagen Academy using Two-Factor Authentication (2FA).
Administrators Access is required.
Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) is compulsory solely for Administrator users as part of enhanced security protocols.
This article explains everything you need to know about signing in using this method.
1. Configuration
While compulsory for Administrators, the system provides an option to remember your device for a period of 30 days, minimising the frequency of 2FA prompts. When enabled, verification will not be required again on the same device within the subsequent 30-day period.
If preferred, it is possible to map one Administrator account to another user account (Administrator or any other role). This approach reduces the necessity to complete 2FA across multiple accounts, as only the primary mapped account will require authentication.
