1. Academy Structure
Academy is structured like an organisation tree. Each section is called a branch. Courses added to a higher branch will be accessible to all sub-branches.
1.1 Basic
As a Basic customer, you will be able to access all basic courses. All your users will be added to the same branch.
1.2 Professional
As a Professional customer of the Academy, your organisation will be established as a branch within the Academy, overseen by one or more branch administrators. The Academy's branch system follows a tree-like structure, enabling the creation of sub-branches with your organisation branch as the parent.
This setup allows you to build a tree of branches, resembling an organisational chart. Each tree operates independently, ensuring that users within one tree are unaware of the existence of other trees, along with their users, courses, progress, etc. This segregation proves beneficial for large deployments, facilitating the separation and customisation of your eLearning offerings for different departments or geographical sections.
Within your organisation branch, each sub-branch can have its own set of branch administrators responsible for managing users, content, and more.
Additionally, you have the option to use groups to organise your users into logical entities. This feature enables you to treat all users within a group as a single entity, streamlining communication, course assignments, and reporting.
As illustrated above, users can belong to your organisation branch, a sub-branch, or a group within your branch (or sub-branch).
The choice of structure depends on the specific needs of your organisation and end-users. Once you've determined the most suitable arrangement for your Academy, refer to this guide to assist you in creating sub-branches, groups, and users.
